Plain-language definitions for every term Regimio uses. If we use a word in the app, it's defined here.
- Troughaka nadir
- The lowest point of a compound's serum concentration between doses. Most accurate window for lab draws to assess steady-state levels.
- Peak
- The highest point of a compound's serum concentration, typically 8–48 hours post-dose depending on the ester or peptide.
- Ester
- A chemical group attached to a steroid (e.g., cypionate, enanthate, propionate) that controls release rate and effective half-life.
- Half-life
- Time it takes for half of a dose to clear the body. Used to model concentration curves and trough timing.
- Reconstitutionaka recon
- Mixing a lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide with bacteriostatic water to make it injectable. Math: mg in vial ÷ mL of BAC water = mg/mL concentration.
- BAC wateraka bacteriostatic water
- Bacteriostatic water · sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol that prevents bacterial growth. Vials are stable up to 28 days after first puncture.
- Ladder
- A stepped titration schedule for GLP-1s (e.g., Tirzepatide 2.5 → 5 → 7.5 → 10 → 12.5 → 15, advancing every 4 weeks).
- Titration
- Gradually adjusting a dose up or down to find an effective and tolerable level.
- Cycle
- A defined period of compound use, typically with a start date, end date, and an optional off-period before restarting.
- Blast and cruise
- TRT pattern alternating between higher-dose phases (blast) and maintenance doses (cruise).
- Stack
- Your current set of active compounds and supplements.
- Site rotation
- Practice of rotating injection sites to avoid scar tissue and uneven absorption. Tracked separately for sub-Q and IM.
- U-100 syringe
- Insulin syringe scaled so 100 units = 1 mL. Most common syringe for peptide doses. U-50 is the same idea at half scale.
- Sub-Qaka subcutaneous
- Subcutaneous · injected into the fat layer just below the skin (abdomen, love handle, thigh). Common for peptides and GLP-1s.
- IMaka intramuscular
- Intramuscular · injected directly into muscle (delt, glute, quad). Standard for TRT esters.
- Protocol
- A complete plan: which compounds, what dose, what cadence, how long, with what monitoring.
- Trough day
- The day you draw blood for labs, timed to land just before the next injection · captures your steady-state low.
- Recon calculator
- Tool that converts vial size + BAC water volume into a dose-per-unit concentration. Regimio's is embedded in the logger.
- Vial life
- Functional days remaining in a vial: 28-day BAC water rule, doses remaining, and supply runway.
- Pinaka jab
- Common slang for inject. 'Pin twice a week' = inject twice a week.
- HCG
- Human chorionic gonadotropin · preserves testicular function during TRT. Lyophilized; requires reconstitution before injection.
- AI
- In this context: aromatase inhibitor (e.g., anastrozole). Reduces estrogen conversion. NOT the same as 'AI' meaning artificial intelligence.
- E2
- Estradiol · the primary estrogen tracked in TRT panels.
- SHBG
- Sex hormone-binding globulin · affects how much free testosterone is bioavailable.
